SIMRIG SR3

A refined overall motion experience.

Optimized internal components give the SIMRIG SR3 great responsiveness and fine control of small movements, allowing both large and fine details in the simulator telemetry to reach the driver.

The result is an immediate response to in-game events such as curbs and changes in car acceleration.

For your rig

One actuator per corner.

The SIMRIG SR3 bolts onto your existing sim rig. One actuator per corner allows the motion system to pitch, heave, and roll your entire setup.

Feel your rig move as the car takes a corner, hits a bump, or taps an opponent.

Revel in the details crafted by the game designers that otherwise go unnoticed.

Compatibility

Mounts to almost everything.

We provide mounting kits for almost every sim rig. Standard aluminium rigs such as 40×80, 40×120 and 40×160 are very common among our customers. The SIMRIG SR3 mounts directly to these using either 20×20 profiles or EasyBrackets.

Other profile sizes such as 40×40, 40×100, 1.5×3″ are also compatible. For select tubular rigs we provide conversion kits.

Two ways to mount

20×20 profiles or EasyBrackets.

20×20 mm profiles

Aluminium extrusions that install under the rig; the motion system then attaches to the profiles. A solid mounting point for rigs without flat sides, or with less than ideal construction.

EasyBracket

Mounts directly to the sides of your rig, leaving the rig to deal with torsion, but makes installation much smoother: there is no hardware to install underneath the rig.

SIMRIG Control Center

Telemetry in. Motion out. Over 100 times a second.

SIMRIG Control Center connects to the game, extracts the telemetry, and computes how to move the motion system — again and again. The telemetry is real-time vehicle data such as acceleration, road surface, vehicle orientation and speed.

It runs in the background while you race or fly, and delivers each motion update to the motion system without undue delay.

01

Game rate

Telemetry arrives at whatever speed the game can produce it.

02

250 / s

Converted into an internal stream at 250 updates per second.

03

100+ / s

Transferred to the motion system more than 100 times per second.

SIMRIG Control Center has been in development for more than eight years. In that time we have tried a lot of things. Added a lot of things. Removed some. All in the pursuit of immersion without too much complexity.

This doesn't mean we are done yet. When new games are released, we are ready.

  • Automatic profile switching based on game and vehicle
  • Automatic detection of the running game
  • Auto-tuning that adapts to your racing style

Simulators

60+ games supported.

Street racing, rally, trucks and flight. SIMRIG Control Center detects the running game and loads the right profile. It even recognizes the correct vehicle in many games.

Ready for VR

Motion compensation, built in.

VR is almost purpose-built for sim racing. SIMRIG Control Center comes prepared, with native support for SteamVR and OpenXR motion compensation.

What is motion compensation?

A motion system tosses your rig around. It also tosses your head around, and the VR headset with it. Unless compensated for, this motion translates directly into the VR view.

Brake, the motion system pitches forwards, your head moves forwards, and your in-game view moves towards the steering wheel.

Motion compensation cancels out the motion, keeping your in-game view stable.

Magnetic encoders

Calibrated in the factory. Once.

The SIMRIG SR3 never requires re-calibration and never loses its position. It always knows where it is, thanks to high-quality magnetic absolute position encoders.

An absolute position encoder is in itself nothing new or exciting. However, when integrated correctly, it means the motion system never needs to extend or retract to an end position for calibration.

Less unwanted motion at the start of a race. The motion system is ready when you are.

SIMRIG ecosystem

Works standalone, better together.

Add the SIMRIG Belt Module and feel braking, acceleration and cornering through the harness as well. Both systems are controlled by the same software, by the same algorithms, at the same time.

By processing the game telemetry once, for both systems, a single in-game event translates to a single motion cue in the real world. No delays, no disconnect.

Good to know

The details, before you ask.

How loud is it?

Very low. A large rubber pad under each actuator keeps the system stationary and absorbs vibrations. The power supply is fanless, and the ECU fan only runs when necessary.

Where does the power supply go?

Power bricks tend to congregate at the front of the rig. Ours comes with an extra-long cable, so it can stay out of sight and out of mind.

Does the power supply work in my region?

Operates around the world: 100–240 V at 50/60 Hz. A C13 power cable for your region is included.

Where is it made and shipped from?

Made in Sweden with parts from around Europe, and sometimes the world. Shipped directly from Sweden to your house.

How is it delivered?

A packaged motion system weighs around 22 kg — too heavy for your local postal distribution center. Use the DHL Express or UPS app to schedule a time that fits.
